TGIF {28}: Let’s Get Social!

Do you use Twitter or Facebook to promote your blog?  How has it benefited your book blogging experience? If not, how do you promote your blog? Share your twitter handle and/or Facebook link!

When I started my blog, I didn’t useany social media outlets, but when I hit June in my blog, and on the day of my birthday, I decided, what better birthday present than TWITTER?! So I registered, and life was altered.

Twitter is better than Facebook for the use of my blog, because I can “talk” with people that read my blog, love books, or are just amazing people! I’ve met so many great bloggers and readers (Katie, Jessie, Andye, HD, Kristi, Ginger, etc) and many more people have read my blog through links.

One of the best services is NetworkedBlogs.com which is a service where you sign up your blog/website and each time you post, the website send out a link to a Facebook page, Facebook profile, Twitter page, and more! This tool has helped me to have my posts reach a broader audience.

Now that I have WordPress, one of my favorite things is a build in “Publicize” tool that lets me tag authors, hashtags, and posts WHEN the post goes up! It’s amazing!

Social media has changed the way we blog, and it will continue to do so.

Happy Friday!

  1. I don’t use Twitter as much as I probably should – and now that I’ve heard about so many people connecting with favorite authors on there, I might have to get back on it a little more 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! All spam/mean/rude comments will be deleted.
